This is different from Big Cottonwood Canyon, which serves Solitude and Brighton.

First Chair Transport Co. offers Alta and Snowbird transportation during off-peak travel periods, subject to vehicle availability, road access, weather, and canyon conditions. Little Cottonwood Canyon can experience severe congestion during ski-area opening and closing periods, active storms, holidays, and powder mornings. For that reason, online availability may be limited during the busiest canyon hours.

If your requested time is not available online, call or text us before making other arrangements. We can review the date, flight time, road outlook, passenger count, and luggage needs. No transportation provider can bypass a road closure, avalanche-control hold, or law-enforcement restriction.

TRANSPORTATION TO ALTA LODGING

We provide advance-reservation transportation to Alta-area hotels, lodges, condominiums, and residences, including destinations near Alta Ski Area. Common destinations include Snowpine Lodge, Alta Lodge, The Rustler Lodge, Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge, and other eligible properties in the town of Alta.

TRANSPORTATION TO SNOWBIRD LODGING

Private airport rides are available to Snowbird lodging and residences, including The Cliff Lodge, The Lodge at Snowbird, Iron Blosam Lodge, and other eligible addresses near Snowbird. Enter your exact lodging name and address when booking so we can confirm the route and service.

WINTER-READY 4X4 TRANSPORTATION

Our primary SUV service uses a properly equipped 4x4 vehicle with Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires carrying the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating. That preparation supports traction on cold pavement, packed snow, and active storm days. Utah traction requirements, changing weather, and canyon restrictions still apply to every vehicle.

We use realistic winter travel timing and communicate if conditions materially affect the pickup plan. The goal is not to rush a canyon trip; it is to provide a calm, prepared ride that accounts for the conditions on the mountain road.

Tell us the number of passengers, suitcases, ski or snowboard bags, strollers, and child seats you expect.
